What do we do?

Playhood is a revolutionary new play experience. We introduce the first role-play location for children where their world revolves around imaginative adventures and unforgettable memories and where parents and caregivers can join in too. Playhood has a cafe, multiple event spaces and indoor play sessions for 500 visitors per day.

Some Daily Tasks of the team are:

  • Ensure a smooth customer journey from checking in visitors to departure of visitors.
  • Engage with children and adults to encourage quality playtime and the Playhood experience.
  • Tidy up the playstreet, playhood cafe, good hood pizza, public areas and kitchen areas.
  • Prepare and take orders in the playhood cafe, work behind the cashier.
  • Cleaning, Washing up and other kitchen duties.
  • Restock and replenish stock items of shop and playhood cafe.
  • Notify management of maintenance and/or repair of toys and furniture.
  • Support business, office, events and marketing activities.

Shift Leaders are also responsible for:

  • Providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Conducting briefings at the beginning of each shift to communicate important information.
  • Interacting with parents and children to ensure they have a positive experience.
  • Resolving customer concerns or issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Overseeing the implementation of safety protocols.
  • Monitoring the play area to prevent accidents and address any safety hazards.
  • Responding to emergencies and coordinating with appropriate authorities if necessary.
  • Conducting regular inspections of toys, tools and play areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and in good working condition.
  • Coordinating with the maintenance partners  to address any repairs or maintenance needs swiftly.
  • Managing sales registers and overseeing transactions at the facility.
  • Keeping track of inventory for merchandise and food/drinks.
  • Handling administrative duties such as scheduling, timekeeping, and reporting.
  • Training new employees on policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Coordinating and promoting special events, parties, or promotions within Playhood.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to implement promotional strategies.
  • Maintaining open communication with staff and management.
  • Addressing unexpected challenges or issues that may arise during the shift.
  • Making quick and effective decisions to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Gathering feedback from customers and employees to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring that Playhood brand standards are consistently met.
  • Upholding the brand image and values in all interactions and activities.
